About the Position
UCOP invites nominations and applications for the next Executive Director of the Retirement Administrative Service Center (RASC). The RASC counsels members of the University as they transition into retirement and provides long-term pension and retirement health benefits support to approximately 100,000+ existing retirees, survivors, dependents, and contingent annuitants from across the UC System.

The Executive Director oversees the RASC and reports to the Vice President of Systemwide Human Resources. This leadership role is responsible for all Member Services, including Workforce Management, Reporting, Data & Analytics, Quality Assurance, Business Solutions, and Vendor Performance. The RASC has a newly implemented operating model that is member-centric, proactive, transparent, and accountable. The Executive Director will foster and support a service-oriented culture that is responsive to member needs and ensures systems technology aligns with organizational priorities. These efforts include playing a critical role in achieving the business objectives of Systemwide Human Resources and the University by accelerating data driven decisioning to provide timely insights and lead formation of effective strategies to protect and optimize performance.

A minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a management, supervisory, or leadership position in delivering and managing complex call/customer service contact centers is required. The Executive Director will possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision making and continuous improvement. The Executive Director must demonstrate the ability to effectively supervise, delegate, communicate, mentor, and solve problems with a diverse and creative staff. A strong working knowledge of best practices and key performance improvement metrics in service center operations management is also required.

Compensation
Compensation Pay Scale: $290,000 - $335,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Full Salary Range: $186,300 - $382,500. UCOP is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The full salary range shows the growth potential for this position and the pay scale is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the full salary range for a position.
