When the day's meetings adjourn, NASRA conference attendees
will find a variety of recreational and social activities
to enjoy. Attendees will enjoy three evenings of fun and networking. On Sunday, Monday,
and Tuesday evenings, NASRA will host casual dinner parties for all to enjoy. The dress
for each evening is casual. There is no additional charge for these parties, but registration is required.
Recreation Seattle embraces diverse cultures and creative ideas, and offers unlimited opportunities to experience art, heritage and culture, all in a setting of
rare natural beauty. From the stately flanks of its Cascade volcanoes to the stony shores of its myriad waterways, the region offers an unmatched wealth of al fresco
activities. Seattle offers strong and diverse ethnic heritage influences where Native American, maritime and pioneer history abound. Discover the creative vitality that

Camp NASRA
Camp NASRA provides an opportunity for the children ages 5 - 15 of conference participants
to make friends and have fun while their parents attend meetings or take part in
other activities. The director of Camp NASRA will
ensure the activities are fun, safe, and age appropriate. All activities will be
on-site at the Seattle Westin during the scheduled conference activities. On
Monday night during the dinner, children ages 2 - 5 may also attend. Participants must
be registered as a child guest of a registered conference attendee to participate
in Camp NASRA, but there are no additional fees for the camp. All participants
will receive a camp t-shirt.
NASRA Dinner Events
Sunday Night Dinner - Northwest Native American Evening at Tillicum Village
Located 8 miles from Seattle's downtown waterfront on Blake Island, Tillicum Village provides the
perfect shore side location to celebrate Northwest Coast Native American culture. Enjoy a scenic 60
minute cruise to Blake Island, which includes a narrated tour of Seattle's Elliott Bay. Upon arrival, attendees and their guests
will be welcomed to Tillicum Village with an appetizer of freshly steamed clams in hot clam nectar.
Dining will take place in an authentic cedar longhouse featuring artifacts and woodcarving displays. Totem
poles surround the huge longhouse, styled in the fashion of the ancient communal dwellings of the
Northwest Coast First Nations. Inside the longhouse, watch as whole salmon are cooked over an alder-wood fire on cedar stakes in
the traditional Northwest Coast Indian style.
Following the dinner of the alder-baked salmon, roasted chicken, and other delicious items, an exciting program of Native American songs and dances
from various Northwest tribes will be presented. Dances from the Northwest Coast are valuable possessions owned by
individuals or families. Tillicum Village is fortunate to have been gifted with a variety of dances to share
with visitors. The highly acclaimed show leads the audience through an enchanting tour of the customs, beliefs
and dances of the Northwest Coast Indians. After the show, there will be time to watch carving
demonstrations, browse the gift shop or explore forest trails and the picturesque beaches of Blake Island
State Park. The perfect ending to this memorable day is the magnificent view of the Seattle skyline from
the water on the return cruise.
Dress: Casual. A jacket or sweater and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Registration is required for this dinner, but there is no additional
cost.
Tillicum Village
Monday Night Dinner - Experience Seattle
Seattle is anything but ordinary. It's a city where the extraordinary is commonplace and commonplace is
anything but. And if you look closely, you just might discover that in Seattle there are amazing things happening all
around you. Come enjoy a relaxing evening in the Westin Grand Ballroom of food, fun and networking.
Dress: Business casual.
Registration is required for this dinner, but there is no additional cost.
Tuesday Night Dinner - Beach Party at Shilshole Bay Beach Club
Shilshole Bay Beach Club is an elegant waterfront venue offering amazing views of Puget Sound and the
Olympic Mountains. Attendees and their guests will enjoy cool breezes and a beautiful sunset from any of the tiered
outdoor terraces. Palm trees, tiki torches and fireplaces adorning the waterside patio create a
relaxing and pleasant ambiance. Located just ten minutes north of Downtown Seattle, this venue creates the perfect
setting for a summer evening of enjoyment and networking. Stunning landscape, delicious Northwest cuisine and exceptional companionship with fellow attendees
will create a lasting impression. Dress: Business casual.

Golf Tournament
The 7th Annual Ray Lillywhite Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, August 9, at the West Seattle Golf Course. The course provides a classic layout that offers challenges to the best players, while at the same time offering a venue for all to play! The front nine meanders alongside Longfellow Creek with a relatively flat terrain. On the back nine players will experience countless uneven lies as the course is very hilly and even more challenging when the afternoon winds pick up. The course boasts the most incredible views of downtown Seattle and Elliot Bay. West Seattle GC was designed by famed architect and accomplished player, H. Chandler Egan. The fee for the tournament

Tours
On Monday, August 9, attendees and their guests will have a choice of one of three
available tours. Each tour is $50 per participant. Tours will leave on buses from the hotel
at noon and return to the hotel at 5:00 p.m. Box lunches will be provided on each tour.

EASTSIDE HIGHLIGHTS TOUR: WATERFALLS, CHOCOLATE & GARDENS

Guests will first travel to the nearby town of Issaquah and experience a sweet stop awaiting at Boehm's Candy Kitchen, known throughout the Northwest
for their fabulous Swiss chocolates. Inside this charming
Swiss chalet, chocolates are made European style with real cocoa, fresh cream and butter, and
are hand dipped with care. Following Boehm's, travel just 25 miles east of Seattle to one of the state's most
popular scenic attractions, Snoqualmie Falls, a 270 foot waterfall cascading through a spectacular rock
gorge into a 65-foot deep pool. Spend time in the breathtaking surroundings of
Snoqualmie Falls and its two acre park, take pictures from the observation deck and tour the gift
shop. The last stop is a quick drive away across sparkling
Lake Washington that will bring tour participants to the beautiful Bellevue Botanical Gardens. Tour the gorgeous botanical park
boasting 53 acres of rolling hills, undisturbed woodlands, meadows, pristine
bogs and display gardens offering an ever-changing panorama of greenery and color.

NORTHWEST WINE AND BREWERY TOUR

Januik Winery
|
The tour will begin at Januik Winery for the Columbia Valley wine tasting. The rhythm and
geometries of the agricultural landscape at Januik along with the craft, technology and patterns
of wine production shape the architecture and feel of the winery. Architecture and nature enchance and elevate each other and provide an
intimate, relaxed setting to sample a selection of Januik wines. After the tasting, participants will travel to Redhook Brewery where they will enjoy a private tour and tasting.
While at the brewery, guests will see the
dramatic Bavarian inspired roof lines and technologically advanced brewing equipment at
Redhook. Notably, the Brew House vessels remain small, which allows brewers close contact
with every batch. The tour will take guests through the Brew House, the Cellar, where filtration occurs, and the final packaging facility where the beer is bottled.
Following Redhook Brewery, the tour will continue to Chateau Ste. Michelle, Washington's oldest
winery situated on 87 acres of arboretum-like grounds. Enjoy a romantic yet technologically accurate view of the art and
science of winemaking, followed by a reserve wine tasting of some of the best Chateau Ste.

For this tour, guests will travel via Washington State Ferry to Bainbridge Island. Once on the island, guests will travel via Minicoach to the town of Poulsbo. Nowhere in the Pacific Northwest can visitors enjoy more breathtaking scenery and a greater array of attractions than in Poulsbo, the “Little Norway on the Fjord”. This authentic Norwegian community invites you to experience nature’s beauty, Scandinavian hospitality and old world charm. A scenic cruise aboard the Victoria Clipper will bring you to the quaint "Old English" town of Victoria. Dubbed the 'City of Gardens', this intimate, sophisticated seaside city is the vaction capital of Canada and one of the premiere tourist spots in the Pacific Northwest.
